Since November 2017 Björn Heinzler part of the PRODINGER Verpackung AG team. In internal sales, he plays a central role in project management, calculating quotations and working with the sales force.
With his keen understanding of products, prices and processes, he contributes daily to the efficient and reliable implementation of packaging solutions for our customers.

The path to PRODINGER began through personal contacts. Björn's best friend is the brother of Benjamin Vögtler, who was head of department at PRODINGER Verpackung AG at the time. When the company was urgently looking for reinforcements and Björn was keen for a new challenge, he applied and started on November 1, 2017, at that time still at the Arisdorf site.
Today, it is impossible to imagine the office team without him.
Björn works on a variety of tasks every day that go far beyond the mere preparation of quotations.
His most important activities include:
Björn deliberately takes on a central role, especially when it comes to complaints. It is important to him that these issues are dealt with in a customer-friendly and solution-oriented manner, and the open structures at PRODINGER offer an ideal starting point here.
Many projects are developed in close cooperation with the sales force: while the sales force takes up the issues with the customer, Björn works out the solutions in the background, creates new articles and suppliers in the system and coordinates the implementation.
Over the last few years, Björn Heinzler has built up a broad knowledge of a wide range of packaging areas. He is particularly well versed in:
He is particularly enthusiastic about one product: the molded fiber range (link).
This is made entirely from waste paper, is very stable, can bear loads of up to 300 kg and can be easily disposed of in the waste paper cycle. In addition, there is no need for complex handling or documentation for international transportation, as is the case with wooden pallets.
For Björn, it is a perfect example of how sustainable solutions can work in practice.
What Björn particularly appreciates about his work is the high degree of personal responsibility.
He can handle projects independently, calculate prices and make decisions. The trust placed in him is a central component of his motivation.
At the same time, he greatly appreciates the teamwork:
„We are a small, lean team and all pull in the same direction. Communication is direct and uncomplicated.“
With his many years of experience, he is also happy to support his colleagues, especially with more complex price calculations or product issues.
In his daily contact with customers, Björn attaches great importance to clear and complete information. The more precisely an inquiry is formulated, the faster and better a solution can be worked out.
The collaboration with the sales force works hand in hand: while the sales force takes on the customer's needs, Björn takes on the detailed work in the background, from opening items to clarifying suppliers and making calculations.
In particularly urgent cases, things can also happen very quickly. He once managed to process a complete inquiry from initial contact to order confirmation in just 25 minutes (!).
What fascinates Björn about the packaging industry is its enormous diversity.
Packaging is present in almost all areas of the economy, from industry and logistics to the end customer.
„You might think there are more exciting topics than packaging. But if you take a closer look, you realize that we are part of countless value chains.“
Material flows and supply chains are of particular interest to Björn, also in his private life.
Björn is very active in his free time. He regularly does strength and endurance training, takes part in Spartan Race (this year in May and June, both in the federal state of Bavaria) and is involved in the Shooting club.
Another great hobby are remote-controlled racing cars on a scale of 1:10. He runs his own RC racing club and optimizes his vehicles technically. It's a hobby that fits in perfectly with Björn's enthusiasm for technology and supply chains.
Also 3D printing is one of his interests, with which he can produce his own spare parts for his models or for household appliances.
For the future of the packaging industry, Björn sees developments in the area of recycled materials and sustainable solutions.
Even though many materials are still needed, alternative materials and optimized recycling processes are becoming increasingly important.
He wants one thing above all for the team and the company: consistency, flexibility and the ability to constantly adapt to new market requirements.
„We have already mastered many challenges. If we remain agile and open to new ideas, we will also successfully shape the coming changes.“
