Due to the current geopolitical developments in the Middle East, we would like to inform you at an early stage about possible effects on the market for plastic packaging/flexible packaging solutions.
The ongoing conflict is having a noticeable impact on the petrochemical industry, which forms the basis for numerous plastic products, including stretch films and other flexible packaging solutions.
Initial feedback from individual suppliers, particularly from Turkey, shows that production has been curtailed or temporarily suspended in some cases. In individual cases, there are also delays or restrictions in the shipment of goods from countries in the crisis region.
Even if the situation has not currently led to supply bottlenecks across the board, it can be assumed that there may be short-term price fluctuations, extended delivery times or temporary availability bottlenecks.
We are in close contact with our partners and constantly monitor developments in the raw materials and procurement markets. Our aim is to continue to supply you reliably and to minimize any potential impact as far as possible.
