Exactly ten years ago today Florian Kläui an integral part of PRODINGER Verpackung AG. Anyone who knows him knows that Florian stands for team spirit, commitment and honest customer relations. In this interview, he explains how he found his way to PRODINGER, what motivates him and why he always puts people first.
Before Florian started at PRODINGER in December 2015, he was a professional roller field hockey player, first in Basel and then in the German professional league in Düsseldorf. After just under a year, he was longing to see his friends and family and was toying with the idea of returning to Switzerland. He was looking for a new professional challenge.
A tip from his friend Sebastian Winkler, who he knew from his playing days on the pitch, eventually led him to PRODINGER Verpackung AG: „Sebastian told me that there was a vacancy in the back office. That's how it all started.“
Florian's path then led him to become a marketing and sales specialist via a part-time commercial apprenticeship. Today, Florian works in the sales force and puts his heart and soul into it.
Florian looks after a diverse customer portfolio, acquires new business partners and acts as a link between customers and internal sales.
„I enjoy communicating with our customers and the team the most,“ he says. „It's about finding solutions together and keeping a cool head even in stressful situations.“
Particularly important to him is a Open and honest communication.
„Empathy is crucial in my job. I want to understand what the customer really needs.“
The fact that he is passionate about his work is also evident in small moments:
„Once a customer had a promotion and accidentally received the wrong shipping bags. I happened to be nearby and dropped them off in person. A short time later, I got a 5-star rating on Google. Moments like that are priceless.“
Florian describes the PRODINGER team as agile, dynamic and very customer-oriented:
„We all sit together in the office, communicate directly and quickly. Everyone contributes ideas and different perspectives help us to find the best solutions.“
He sees himself as Bridge builder.
„I'm happy to be involved wherever I can, provide support where I can and am happy when others are happy. It's more important to me that we find the right solution together.“
Florian loves representing PRODINGER Verpackung AG on site at the customer's premises: „I know how important that is. I'm the face of the company to the outside world.“
What does he particularly appreciate about PRODINGER? „I've always felt that I've been in good hands over the past ten years. The management looks after us, gives us freedom, and you can contribute your strengths and develop them further.“
When he's not on the road for his customers, Florian is active in sports - at the Vordemwald roller hockey club, at the gym in Rheinfelden or in further training: „I'm currently training to become a marketing and sales specialist and have exams in spring 2026. That's an exciting time.“
When it comes to developments in the packaging industry, Florian remains curious:
„A lot is happening, from sustainability to the circular economy. For us, this means staying agile, reacting quickly and breaking new ground.“
His favorite product? The stretch film. „That was the first product I had in my hand when I started at PRODINGER. I have many fond memories of it.“
And he has one wish above all for the future:
„That we stick together as a team, remain stable and enjoy every challenge. Like a ship's crew that is able to weather any storm together.“
