❄️ Using adhesive tapes correctly in cold temperatures (briefly explained)

January 26, 2026

At low temperatures in particular, even high-quality adhesive tapes quickly lose their adhesive strength if they are not stored or processed correctly.

To ensure that your packing tape also holds reliably in winter, we recommend

  • Store and process adhesive tape at room temperature (> 18 °C)
  • If this is not possible, warm up the required daily amount 24-48 hours before use (e.g. in a heated room)
  • Do not heat directly on or near radiators
  • If the belt is processed cold, this can lead to loss of strength or belt breakage

These instructions apply regardless of the belt type and help to avoid unnecessary complaints and reworking.

If you have any questions or uncertainties, we will be happy to advise you personally.
